ZdC is a young band formed by people that have been young for a very long time, and they still are. Under those circumstances time is a most valuable asset, and they use theirs very carefully, always trying to get sounds that pay off the investment. Organising sounds and noises is what people call music, and this is what they consciously and minutely do during and after their sessions. Coming from a variety of different backgrounds (pop, punk, rock, dada, psychedelia, ceramics, physics, free jazz, computing, school teaching, poetry, ....) their aim in ZdC is to create spontaneously intense soundscapes where it makes sense living. Since they move around in a subjective world, the output is not always obvious for everybody; but this is the rule and the challenge. Their approach is strongly punk, in the sense that technical perfection is not a goal, but emotional perfection. Instruments are a source of sound, and every Zero explores all the sonic possibilities of every instrument, trying to get out of it interesting textures, and striving to dominate the flow according to a purpose, and fitting it in the complexity of the overall production. A challenge. What is presented here is a selection of some recent work. The band is specially satisfied with those 4 tracks. Those tracks are very close to the a priori pursued goal. Spontaneous complex improvisation using a wide variety of instruments and voices.
